Navigating the Complexities of Gender in Educational Settings”
The presentation is designed as a session to help educators—in k-12 and post secondary settings—to figure out ways to best support gender diversity in the classroom. Dr. Lee Airton, who launched the No Big Deal Campaign following a very public controversy in the news media about using gender neutral pronouns, will be here to talk about their experiences in working with teacher education students and faculty on this important topic of inclusion.
Questions like “How do I best create an inclusive and safe environment in my classroom for diverse/fluid genders?” or “What are the things I need to know about gender diversity to ensure I am creating an accepting space in my classroom” will be discussed.
We hope you will join us for this important learning event.
