Support new oil spill regulations
including a dilbit ban
Dear Paov,
I’m sure you’ve all been toasting the coast with BC wine in recent weeks. Now’s your chance to put that cheers into gear and voice your support for the oil spill regulations that set Alberta Premier Notley off.

BC officials want to get oil shippers to develop response plans for priority areas, mandate response times for when cleanup teams should arrive, and compensate communities who are hurt by a spill. They also want to use existing regulations to their greatest extent.
We know the only way to stop an oil spill is not to put the stuff there in the first place — but additional regulations can make a world of difference.
Will you take a few minutes and write the provincial government in support of these strong measures? There’s no doubt Big Oil will try and weaken their plans, so we need to be louder.
Paov, we’ve got until April 30 to show the province British Columbians demand these new spill response rules and encourage them to tweak them for maximum effect. Write Now! You’ve joined us in fending off oil export tankers on the west coast for eight years now and it’s working. Together, we can make sure BC’s waterways are safe.
For the climate,
