Tonight, some of the most well-known leaders in the climate movement are getting together in New York City to talk about the road through the Paris Climate Summit.
Our friends in the United States are bringing together leaders like Naomi Klein, Bill McKibben, and Melina Laboucan-Massimo, along with a ton of activists from around the world for the "Off+On" event. The best part is that they’re going to be live streaming it, so you can tune in too:
2015 is on track to be the hottest year in recorded history, and this December hundreds of world governments will meet in Paris to try to strike a global climate agreement. It will be the biggest gathering of its kind since 2009, and it’s potentially a big deal for our global movement.

Nations' Climate Pledges Set Course for Disastrous Warming
Andrea Germanos
Greenhouse gas reduction pledges countries have submitted to the United Nations in advance of global climate talks set the planet on a path that keeps critical climate goals out of reach. That's according to the Climate Action Tracker (CAT), a project of four research organizations that assesses nations' climate pledges and actions. It released its findings Wednesday [September 2] as talks are underway in Bonn, Germany, where global delegates are working to streamline the draft text for the UN climate change summit in Paris in December, known as COP21.
"One would have expected all the new Government climate targets combined to put the world on a lower emissions pathway, but they haven't," said Louise...
