Cambie Case Update

NationBuilder r1

Dear Paov --

After 104 witnesses, almost 180 days and 30,000 pages of evidence, Brian Day’s challenge to our public health care system is almost over! Closing Statements will take place over 3 weeks, from November 18 - December 5, 2019.

We’ve got this far together - thank you! Now we need to go the distance and make a strong finish. Please donate today for this final push to make our case that Canada’s public health care system must be based on need, and not on the ability to pay.

It will cost almost $100,000 for our lawyers to complete and give their Closing Statements in court on December 4th. They must wade through the evidence, be present in the court room to hear what Cambie’s lawyers are arguing, and then come up with the words needed to convince the judge that the legislation Brian Day is attacking actually safeguards our public health care system. We need to ensure that we don’t go down the road of US-style health care with its punitive private insurance market and for-profit hospitals.

U.S. taxpayer money is funding human rights abuses. You can help us stop it.

Please email Representatives in the U.S. today.
Dear friend,

A few months ago, BuzzFeed News exposed a huge scandal – WWF-funded rangers have been abusing, torturing and murdering indigenous peoples in the name of conservation.

This is a huge development in our campaign to force the WWF to stop violating indigenous peoples’ rights in the name of nature. Now we need your help to keep the pressure up.
