Join us Tuesday, May 10th at 6:30 pm to learn more about the threat of paid plasma and what you can do to help keep our blood system safe.

We'll be speaking along with Kat Lanteigne, advocate and co-founder of BloodWatch.org, at this free public town hall meeting at the Reach Gallery Museum in Abbotsford.

Its not about the money

In 2001, I was living in San Francisco, working in the homeless rights and economic justice movement, and fighting welfare reform and gentrification policies that were ravaging the city. In those communities, we were always striving to draw connections between our work and struggles around the world, with the values of freedom, dignity, and equality of all people at the root of them all.

Cuba: Into the Future

A reminder of our upcoming event

Cuba: Into the Future

Throughout the 23 years of Victoria Friends of Cuba’s existence, Victorians have shown great interest and understanding towards Cuba. Many Victorians have joined us in such campaigns as ending the Injustices in the illegal US blockade of Cuba and the US occupation of Guantanamo Bay.

Cuba/US relations have been restored and President Obama recently visited Cuba. What does all this mean? You are invited to our upcoming event to find out.

Ranked ballot

As the Liberals get set to announce their all-party committee consultation process, proportional representation will soon be back in the news.

To combat these myths, Fair Vote Canada has produced a series of Myth Busting Blogs and social media posters which we encourage you to share far and wide! Here are the latest three:

Ranked Ballots are not a Voting System
