Dear CASC coffee lovers, Allen has bagged a fresh roast of our Cafe Simpatico coffee. Our partners OGIFA on Saltspring Island have had to increase the price to us of more than one dollar – due to rising shipping and handling cosrs and also because this year’s crop was much less than expected. OGIFA like your CASC committee are dedicated volunteers who work hard to bring us these wonderful beans from Nicaragua and to help our farmer partners there. Zatoun is a project which brings fair trade olive oil to Canada from Palestine. Zatoun represents the human experience of Palestine and its people especially farmers who depend on their land and its fruits.
