Hey PAOV,
Over the past few months, Canadians have been working hard to support thousands of Syrian refugees rebuilding their lives in Canada. But these are millions more refugees, displaced families and people still living in crisis areas who need our support.
Millions of refugees around the world find themselves living in countries or circumstances that mean their children cannot attend school regularly, or at all. Children often lose years of schooling due to conflict and in some cases may never have access to quality education again.

"U.S. Empire's Decline": Spectre or Social Fact?
For readers immersed in the annals of Empire, it is well known that the United States is no ordinary country in the world system. The United States is a unique Empire whose national security strategy since 1945 has relied upon a mix of diplomacy and brute military force to make the world safe for American capitalism around the world, and more importantly, made the world over for global capitalism. Brussels, 14 April 2016 (ITUC OnLine): In a major breakthrough for human rights and sport, today's report on FIFA's human rights obligations, released by Professor John Ruggie, one of the world's foremost human rights experts, has set a clear agenda for FIFA to act and help restore its battered reputation. It also establishes a global requirement for all sports organisations, both for major events and for their ongoing operations including marketing and sponsorship.

In May 2017 the government will introduce legislation for electoral reform - a new voting system for the 2019 federal election. Will the legislation be for a proportional system?

May Day:
Workers' Struggles, International Solidarity, Political Aspirations
For more than 100 years, May Day has symbolized the common struggles of workers around the globe. Why is it largely ignored in North America? The answer lies in part in American labour’s long repression of its own radical past, out of which international May Day was actually born a century ago.
It is more important than ever, in the face of relentless capitalist austerity and emerging authoritarian forces on the right, that the North American labour movement reconnect with this history and forge linkages with the international labour movement in the remaking of a socialism for our times.
This pamphlet is the latest in the Socialist Interventions series (May 2016).
