Welcome to the inaugural night of the Troublemaker's Cabaret: an evening of artistic performance, live music, community-building, and political rants. We are coming together to highlight some of the amazing work that is being done by amazing people here at home, as well as to forge new relationships amongst community organizers and activists.

Some of your local favourites, including the Whistling Kettle Improv Team, the Raging Grannies, Kevin Paul, Morgan Purvis, and many more will be hitting the stage along with our hosts Marika Albert and Shane Calder to bring you a variety show of activist-related delights.

The evening, of course, would not be complete without musical performances by The Tuesdays, Still Broke, Tad Ruszel, DJ Fretwell, and the Art, Bobby, and Clinton Trio.

The evening begins at 7pm and goes until midnight.

From Adriana and Gerardo: To all our friends who share our happiness

Greetings from our 5 Cuban friends.
Gerardo Hernandez, one of the Cuban five was never supposed to come out of the US prison. He was given a double life sentence. US authorities denied his wife Adriana any visits to see Gerardo since he was imprisoned 16 years ago.
One may ask on how Gerardo's wife Adriana is now suddenly having a baby when she wasn't able to visit Gerardo in prison for the last 16 years?Well, artificial insemination is the answer. The expectation was that Gerardo would die in prison. This was Adriana's only chance of having a child.
Let's hope that this coming year we'll be able to accomplish more in the struggle for Justice, Equality & Peace with a Clean and Healthy Environment.
In Solidarity & Friendship we shall succeed,Victoria Friends of Cuba---------------------------------
