Saskatchewan cut wait times for targeted procedures in half using a "first available surgeon" model.
Richmond Hospital reduced wait times for hip and knee replacements by 75% using innovative scheduling and two operating rooms [1].
We can make wait lists shorter for everyone in B.C. by taking solutions like these province wide. To make that happen, the government needs to make these public system innovations a priority.
Send a message asking the B.C. government to use public solutions to address wait times

. TAKE ACTION . . .Yesterday we spoke with Issa Amro, a Palestinian human rights activist we work with in Hebron. (You can find the video on our Facebook page). Issa is a true friend to many of us at JVP, and he’s facing a military trial next week, having been arrested dozens of times for his work as a nonviolent activist.

It’s disgusting, and not a little scary. But it’s not fringe or random, or even rare.

After a summer of listening to expert witnesses from Canada and around the world, and MP town halls across the country, the all-party committee on electoral reform (ERRE) is starting their national tour to hear from Canadians! As part of the decision making process, speaking at these ERRE meetings is extremely important. This is our chance to show up and speak up for proportional representation! Act now to prevent further demolitions in Umm al-Kheir and Susiya.
. TAKE ACTION . . .This morning I woke up to the terrible news that 27 people were made homeless for the second time when Israeli bulldozers demolished five structures in the South Hebron Hills village of Umm al Kheir. When I was there last month, a group of international Jewish activists and I helped rebuild a house demolished there in April. Now we need you to raise your voice to help prevent even more demolitions.
Unfortunately, this isn't the only village facing immediate demolition now. You may have heard about the village of Susiya previously: the village has been facing nearly constant demolitions in recent years, as well as settler harassment, crop destruction, and direct violence from Israeli soldiers.
You can make a difference , but you must act now.

We want to tell you about your townhall but don't know where you live!
Dear Friend,
Fair Vote Canada's success will depend on Constituents and what they tell their MPs.
Right now, MPs are holding townhalls across the Country and we want to make sure all of our Supporters get the information they need to attent these events.
Sending you to the correct townhall depends on where you live.
Can you give us your postal code so we can put you in the correct Riding? That way, we will be able to let you know when and where you can access your MP's townhall.
We'd like to send you email specific to your riding, but we don't know your postal code. Can you tell us?
